SCI-FI & FANTASY artist Lōtic is heading to Austin next week for SXSW. The Berlin-based, Texas-native will play a series of events at spaces around Austin on Wednesday, March 13, Thursday, March 14, Friday, March 15, and Saturday March 16. The shows will be with extended family and friends like Peligrosa and Butros and Fade To Mind and Night Slugs.

Lōtic also recently presented an exclusive mix for URB Magazine title ‘The Weighing of the Heart’ which is still up for grabs.

This week’s special podcast comes from the mind of Houston-bred, Berlin-based “digital aesthetic” Lōtic. Signed to Brooklyn next-generation electronic label SCI-FI & FANTASY, the 23-year old producer dazzled us here at URB with his two-track scorcher “Sankofa/Glittering”, meshing together elements of ballroom, booming bass, footwork, industrial and experimental drone atmospheres to create a thoroughly unique sonic experience that will charm, confuse and cross dance floors. This is the epitome of “next shit”, people.
